From the airport, how and what is the means of transportation to get there?

Surprisingly, the airport is also located on an island. When you get to the airport, you need to use other means of transportation to get to your resort island. If your resort is not too far, you will be sitting on a small boat, also known as dhoni which will cost you around 1 USD to reach your destination (eg Dhoni to Capital Male will be 1 USD). If it’s a bit further, you might want to consider taking a speedboat which will cost you around 75 USD. If your resort island is really too far away, you’ll need to take a seaplane ride that will cost you about $350 USD or more.

What are the things I need to bring?

Sunscreens and sunscreens. It’s a good idea to bring insect repellant too as there may be sand flies in some sections of the sand. They do a regular haze so it’s not a big deal so far.

Depending on beach regulations, some seashells are protected and you can’t take them back. In the wee hours of the morning, the sea washes sea shells onto the sand. If you want to see beautiful seashells, make sure you get up early in the morning as the locals will be there early in the morning to shake off these beautiful seashells to leave the sand clear. In other words, be there before them!

You can buy a disposable waterproof camera which will cost around 50 USD. Check out the waterproof capabilities of the camera as well. Some can only go down to 5 meters deep while others allow 15 meters deep. However, if you really intend to get a camera, you might want to get one with waterproof capabilities so you can use flash and get sharper photos under the sea.

What are the things I should buy?

There is really nothing to buy. Some of their souvenir shops even sell items that are imported from other countries, yeah. All that matters is restoring your photos and memories!
